The text on 009 is from a song called "Take Me Away" by Lifehouse. "Don't give up on me yet -- don't forget who I am. I know I'm not through yet." That line was one of several that kept me going the past few months in regards to believing he was alive, and since that coloring is my favorite I've ever done of him, I really wanted to combine the two.
As to the coconuts thing -- Monty Python and the Holy Grail. You should see it. Given what I know of you, you will enjoy it immensely. The "flesh wound" line came from there as well.
Oh of course...Monty Python and the Holy Grail...it has been at least 20 years since I've seen that (which might explain why I forgot). I used to watch their TV show a lot when I was a kid, and I did recognize the "flesh wound" bit. My recent story "Over My Dead Body" had a bit of a Monty Python style ending...so you're right...that is definitely my sort of humor.
all so wonderful, as always. lolz #2 is my favorite, partly because that scene is the first time we see them interact, and even though it didn't seem important at the time, it means so much in retrospect.
SRS #9 is awesome. Also especially so in retrospect.
This also reminds me that I need to go back and reload all of your earlier icons, since I lost them all in the laptop meltdown.
Srs #9 is one of my favorites that I've ever made, hands down. Ever since Oz and Alice crashed that Pandora meeting and Liam had to deal with it and gave himself his little, "I can do it! I'm Liam! I can think of a plan!" speech, I've been convinced he knows exactly what he's capable of even if no one else does, and -- well.
Let us say that song would come on and I would get to that line and think, "Don't you dare let me down here, Lunettes. >8["

*cluelessness reveal...because I have no shame* That coconuts thing is either an inside joke or some pop culture thing that is flying over my head.

I'm so glad he didn't.
